Location

Nafpaktos

Nafpaktos is a city that seems to have sprouted between the mountains and the sea,
carrying centuries of history and memory. Its Venetian harbor, small and picturesque, is embraced by
castle walls that begin at the hilltop and cascade down to the sea like
stone streams of memory. Where once echoed the voices of sailors and
warriors, today peace and serenity reign, yet the sense of history remains
strong—almost alive.
Wandering through its narrow alleys, visitors feel Nafpaktos as a place steeped in old stories
that whisper the past into the present, tradition into vitality. Among the cafés,
, the plane trees of the square, and the sea that stretches quietly before it, the city offers a rare
sense of balance, familiarity, and charm.

Accessibility

At a key location in Greece, right next to the Rio–Antirrio Bridge and almost directly on
the Ionian Highway axis, we have established a model Elderly Care Unit
of 2,000 sq.m. on a 9,000 sq.m. plot overlooking the sea. The enchanting city of Nafpaktos, combining
a superb climate of both mountain and sea, beautiful natural landscapes, archaeological sites, and places of
tourist interest, is the ideal setting for the comfortable living of our elderly residents.
The new road networks of Olympia Odos and Ionian Odos make access to our
facility very easy—even from Athens in just over 2 hours. Access is even easier for
residents of nearby towns such as Kiato, Akrata, Aigio, Patras,
Messolonghi, Agrinio, Ioannina, and of course many other regions.

Climate

Nafpaktos has a mild Mediterranean climate, typical of the coastal regions of
western Greece. Winters are mild with some rainfall, while summers are
hot and dry, with many hours of sunshine each day. Winds blowing from
the Corinthian Gulf contribute to the coolness during the summer months, making the area
ideal for summer holidays. The overall atmosphere of Nafpaktos is
pleasant and supports outdoor living and activities throughout the year.

Archaeological Sites

Nafpaktos is a beautiful city with a rich history. Its most famous archaeological
attraction is the Venetian Castle, which dominates the hill above the city and is preserved
in very good condition. It was built on ancient fortifications and offers panoramic views
of the Corinthian Gulf.
Very close by are Delphi. In antiquity, Delphi was considered—rightly so—
“the navel of the Earth,” the place where Greek gods and
humans would meet. Its location, on the southern slopes of Mount Parnassus, is a
geographical and spiritual center. Some of the sites worth visiting are:

The Temple of Apollo
The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia
The theater and stadium
Castalian Spring

Another major archaeological site in Greece is Ancient
Olympia, known as the birthplace of the Olympic Games. In the sanctuary of Hera stands the
Temple of Zeus with the chryselephantine statue (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), the Temple
of Hera, the stadium where the games were held, the palestra and the gymnasium. Many of the
findings are housed in the excellent Archaeological Museum of Olympia.
