Welcome to Enilion
In a sunny region with a mild climate that combines mountains and sea, between Antirrio and the estuary of the Mornos River, a state-of-the-art 2,000 sq.m. facility was lovingly and expertly created within a 9-acre plot, with the aim of offering a high-quality living environment for the elderly.
At Enilion, we honor the wisdom and experience of elderly people. We have created a place filled with love, respect, and professionalism, where every person feels safe and dignified.
ENILION – Elderly Care Projects of Nafpaktos E.E. – Map
Unit History
The original donor of the foundation’s land was Georgios Kapordelis, who left
a plot of land with a total area of approximately 28 stremmas (28,000 sq.m.) in the area of Palaiopanagia,
Nafpaktos. Of this land, about 10 stremmas (10,000 sq.m.) were designated for the
construction and operation of a nursing home in the area.
A building of approximately 2,000 sq.m. was constructed with additional financial support from
the inheritance of D. Galani and a donation from his relative, Ioannis Xykis.
Because the building remained unused and over time had suffered serious
damage, the foundation, after receiving special approvals from the supervising authority, opted to
utilize the property by leasing it long-term to complete
the construction work, purchase the necessary equipment, and operate the nursing home.
Thus, in 2024, a public tender was announced, in which the company ENILION
submitted a complete and competitive proposal.
The proposal of ENILION was thoroughly reviewed and selected among others by both the
Kapordelis – Xykis Foundation and the competent state auditing bodies.
Within a few months in 2025, ENILION carried out
extensive construction works and equipped the unit’s facilities in the best possible way
both internally and externally, to address
existing issues and create a state-of-the-art, high-standard care
unit.
ENILION’s immediate plans include expanding the facilities by
creating additional independent spaces for sports, physiotherapy, rehabilitation,
a model day care center, a chapel, and new accommodation wings
for the elderly, with a focus on supported living and
high-level care for people with increased needs.
ENILION, recognizing the importance of the service it offers, has
already proceeded with the evaluation and selection of suitably qualified personnel.
At the same time, as part of its development in other areas related to
elderly care, it will carefully consider cases of professionals who wish to
collaborate with our Unit.
In an effort to honor the benefactors of the foundation, ENILION has proceeded with
naming the wings after the original donor G. Kapordelis who
provided the land, as well as the donors D. Galani and I. Xykis, who contributed financially
and G. Kolovos, engineer and former Mayor of Antirrio, who helped with the building’s design and
implementation.
It is our duty to honor the president of the foundation’s board
His Eminence Metropolitan Ierotheos of Nafpaktos, who stood as a true supporter and decisively
contributed with his vision, tireless work, and 30
years of continuous efforts, always in collaboration with the board members and with the
help of God, to bring the project to completion.
